Nuclear and molecular medicine
Nuclear and molecular medicine services are conveniently offered in one site, at Eastern Health’s state-of-the-art Nuclear and Molecular Medicine Facility. This facility provides treatment space to perform nuclear and molecular medicine services, as well as a research opportunities in this area.
What we do
We offer the province’s first positron emission tomography/computerized tomography (PET/CT) scanner. PET scans are essential in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of many diseases. Other services provided include:
- therapeutic nuclear and molecular medicine;
- diagnostic nuclear and molecular medicine imaging; and
- cyclotron production of medical isotopes.
